Do I need to switch my brokerage?

No. Trade It is designed to work with the brokerage(s) you already have. If a brokerage is not supported yet, let us know and we can review it for the roadmap.

Do I need any investment experience to use Trade It?

Trade It is designed to simplify investing and help you make informed decisions. That said, it's helpful to have basic investment knowledge so you're comfortable assessing risk and understanding the nature of the assets you're trading.

Is my money safe?

Trade It never takes custody of your funds or assets. Your money stays in your chosen brokerage account, protected by their regulatory safeguards. We are only able to send trade instructions when you explictly confirm them. Always review your brokerage's security measures and protections.

Does Trade It guarantee returns?

No. Trading involves risk, including the possible loss of capital, and past performance is never a guarantee of future results. You should consult a licensed financial advisor before making investment decisions. This platform does not offer financial advice, nor does it operate as an investment firm or financial intermediary.

Where is Trade It available?

Currently, Trade It is available only to users located in the United States. We're focused on building the best experience for the U.S. market and complying with U.S. laws and regulations, but will expand to other regions in the future.

How fast are trades executed?

Trades are placed immediately. However, execution times may vary based on market conditions, liquidity, and your brokerage's processing speed.

Will Trade It always execute my trading commands?

For the most part, yes, but there are some exceptions:

- The number of shares to be bought or sold is less than 0.01.
    - Your brokerage is disconnected at the time of the trade.
    - Your brokerage does not support fractional shares and the amount you're trying to buy or sell rounded to the nearest whole share exceeds available buying power.

Can Trade It buy fractional shares?

Yes. If your brokerage supports fractional shares, we'll buy the smallest possible number of shares to match the desired investment amount. If it doesn't, we'll round to the nearest whole share (note that this may result in a small difference in the final composition of your holdings or a higher expected purchase price).

Can I set a take-profit or stop-loss?

Yes, on supported brokerages for Buy entries. You can create bracket orders with a take-profit and/or stop-loss so the resulting long position closes automatically when your target or maximum loss is reached.  Each exit can be a price or a percentage from the entry reference price. Brackets on Sell orders and options are not currently supported.
